Our history

Our history

Our journey began in May 1994 when Anne left the employment of Methodist Insurance where she had worked as a Life and Pensions Adviser. Due to changing regulations, Methodist Insurance wanted to concentrate on church insurance and General Insurance and Anne’s interests lay elsewhere.

Our family firm

Anne gained authorisation as an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA) and became a specialist adviser serving the clergy and the Christian community. Anne is married to Martin, a Methodist Minister who later became a team member of a Retreat House and served at St Laurence’s Anglican Church in Chorley, where the family now worship.

Martin and Anne bought their own home in 1998, the house had been converted from Heapey Methodist Chapel in the 1970’s.  The office is built onto the house and the ground floor of our offices was originally the Sunday School.  There are amazing views over Healey Nab and the surrounding countryside.

Anne’s daughter, Melanie joined the office in 2004 and has studied to become an independent financial adviser and mortgage adviser. Anne’s son Tom joined the team in 2007 and is training to be an adviser.
